and YES, they are Fashion-Addicted!!!

Sweet words are easy to say, sweet things are easy to buy, bu sweet people are difficult to find. Life stops when you stop dreaming, hope ends when you stop believing. Love ends when you stop caring and friendship ends when you stop sharing. Can't wait to see you again ... ♥

John Mayer "Who says"

One of my favorite performers John Mayer with his new single "Who says". The sunglasses he wore on this video-clip is also seen on the pictures of my last post ;) just can't ID it ... hmm ... any ide@ or suggestion?

John Mayer is one of those people who looks a little rough around the edges, but in all the right ways. As the years have gone by John has added a few more tattoos, let his hair ebb and flow based on his mood and continued to sport his edgy look. These images continue to support what I’ve come to expect from John. He’s pictured here getting a haircut at the Sally Hershberger Salon in downtown Manhattan with a very rustic messenger bag.

Twilight "New Moon"

in

The last post was about the wildfox vampire-obsessed collection ... I'm continuing with the second part of the movie Twilight 'New Moon' coming up this November 2009; a vampire-love-story between Isabella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). I've read the whole Twilight-Saga and must confess I also got into that "Twilight-Fever". Most of the Twilight-Fans adore Robert Pattinson, but seriously ... I find Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) much more cuter. I already bought tickets for the Premiere on the 22nd November, can't wait to see him on the screen performing as a werwolf.

Taylor Lautner
The Twilight star's big win at the Scream Awards

Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner, (very good looking) wearing a black leather jacket, jeans, and a tee, nabbed the Male Breakout Performance award at Spike TV's 2009 Scream Awards Saturday night. The ceremony, which honors the best horror, sci-fi, and fantasy flicks, was also attended by Keith Richards, Quentin Tarantino, Johnny Depp, CHristina Ricci, and Megan Fox. Though we'll have to wait another month to see Lautner reprise his role as teen werewolf Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga 'New Moon', the movie's stellar soundtrack hit shelves 2 weeks ago.

Blogger Phenomenon Tavi Gevinson

in

A 13 year old girl captured the international art/fashion scene. A few years before it was unthinkable, but in these days there are already numerous alternatives on the internet to be successful. But, it is difficult to stand out from the unmanageable mass of blogs. Tavi succeeded in her own way having an awesome passion for fashion, her extraordinary style and of course her youthfulness. From Chicago she managed it to the front row of the big fashion shows in New York. The High-School-Student turned  into the favorite of the branch with her fashion-blog. She began her blog, "Style Rookie" on March 31, 2008 when she was 11 year old. Since then, she has had up to 50,000 readers, but not the 4 million that Grazia reported. While Gevinson describes herself as a "tiny 13 year old dork that sits inside all day wearing awkward jackets and pretty hats", many look to her for style inspiration. In mid-2009, Gevinson partnered with London-based Borders&Frontiers to design and sell her own t-shirt. In August 2009, she appeared on the cover of Pop Magazine, which feature photographs by Jamie Morgan and was designed by artist Damien Hirst. Bloggers like Tavi have been referred to as the "frontline of fashion". She has also become a regular guest at fashion shows. inspiration feed ;)

Olivia Palermo

in

Olivia Palermo is one of the worldclass-style-icon ... she performs the low cost-fashion in her own way by mixing inexpensive with some expensive pieces and I LOVE the way she dresses up!

If you aren't familiar with Olivia Palermo yet, pay extra attention today, dear readers! It's only a matter of time before this chic socialite is on everyone's radar, as she stars alongside Whitney Port in MTV's east coast spinoff of The HillsThe City. If the show, which premiered December 29th, attains even a fraction of the success as its Los Angeles predecessor, she is sure to become a household name. Long a fixture on the stylish Manhattan social circuit, Palermo's poised for mass insta-fame, thanks in part to her gorgeous features (sparkling eyes, perfect hair, bright smile) and polished appearance. Luckily, we caught up with the soon-to-be celeb and crowned her our Girl of the Month for January! Just like any well-seasoned New York City gal, Olivia Palermo plans dinner parties, attends exclusive events, and stays in tune with the fashion world. Concerning the latter, her position at Diane Von Furstenberg definitely gives her an insider's advantage! In addition to the influence of her workplace, Palermo stays style savvy from reading her newsstand favorites (Vogue, ELLE, InStyle) and by globe-trotting. "My environment inspires me," she says. "Whenever I travel, I absorb the culture." Palermo's appreciation of the street chic she spots in London, Paris, Berlin, and New York City is evident in the array of interesting and enviable outfits she wears!

We are loving the boyfriend blazer around here--an oversize, slouchy jacket that keeps you warm on spring nights.
Has even more appeal if you actually snagged it from your guy's closet.

The resurgence of the jeans jackets is now followed by the revival of denim shirts in oversized-format. For the balance to the Boyfriend-Cut combine with skinny pants or leggings.

charleston/twenties girl

English Version

As I already mentioned, the twenties on my post before (menswear-inspired fashions), here's a book I've read and put on my must-have-read booklist. 'Twenties girl' by Sophie Kinsella is a really beautiful funny book which is about love, family and the most unusual, unique and hilarious ghost.

German Version

Here's a short summary about the book:
Lara Lington has always had an overactive imagination, but suddenly that imagination seems to be in overdrive. Normal professional twenty-something young women don’t get visited by ghosts. Or do they? When the spirit of Lara’s great-aunt Sadie–a feisty, demanding girl with firm ideas about fashion, love, and the right way to dance–mysteriously appears, she has one last request: Lara must find a missing necklace that had been in Sadie’s possession for more than seventy-five years, and Sadie cannot rest without it. Lara, on the other hand, has a number of ongoing distractions. Her best friend and business partner has run off to Goa, her start-up company is floundering, and she’s just been dumped by the “perfect” man. Sadie, however, could care less. Lara and Sadie make a hilarious sparring duo, and at first it seems as though they have nothing in common. But as the mission to find Sadie’s necklace leads to intrigue and a new romance for Lara, these very different “twenties” girls learn some surprising truths from each other along the way. Written with all the irrepressible charm and humor that have made Sophie Kinsella’s books beloved by millions, Twenties Girl is also a deeply moving testament to the transcendent bonds of friendship and family.

In 1923 Coco Chanel told Harper's Bazaar 'simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance'. Coco Chanel always kept the clothing she designed simple, comfortable, and revealing. Unlike most designers in Europe, she kept the woman inside the clothes at the center of her creations. "I gave women a sense of freedom; I gave them back their bodies: bodies that were drenched in sweat, due to fashion's finery, lace, corsets, underclothes, padding." She took what were considered poor fabrics like jersey and upgraded them. Chanel's style is popularly associated with the image of the 1920s flapper, a "new breed" of self-confident young women that challenged the established concept of socially acceptable behavior. The flappers demonstrated their independence through new looks and attitude, such as short skirts and haircuts, openly using cosmetics, and being seen to smoke and drink cocktails. Compared to previous generations of women the flappers also showed an increased level of activity, pursuing athletic sports, driving their own automobiles, and going out to nightclubs where they could listen to jazz music and do energetic dances such as the Charleston.

the must-have guides

in

I love all kinds of books ... BUT these books are musthaves for all fashionloving-women.

Illustrations by Natasha Law
Foreword by John Galliano
How tos and tips include Bella Freud, Manolo Blahnik, Stephen Jones, Gisele Bündchen, Julien MacDonald, Sam McKnight, Paula Pryke, Vivienne Westwood, Anya Hindmarch, Mrs. Burstein, Gemma Ward, Angela Lindvall, Jade Jagger, Stella McCartney, Kylie Minogue and Heidi Klum. 'How to Walk in High Heels' is for anyone who has ever tried to change a plug, toss a salad, enter a room in sling backs and leave everyone captivated, and was clearly absent when that manual was given out. This is the How To for the modern girl – you have to multitask and have the Midas touch in everything. Get the look but above all get the knowledge. This is a how to that is meant to be a friend, not a condescending assortment of rules because just like the reader the author is baffled by life… and like the reader she craves the easiest, most painless solution… and if they are stylish and fabulous and from someone iconic so much the better.
How to Walk in High Heels took the world by storm. Its flippant fashion tone, quotes and 'how tos' from industry star contributors sit against demystified jargon. Just as every girl needs to walk talk and slim in heels – every girl needs this book. Think of Ginger Rogers – she had to do all the same moves as Fred Astaire, only backwards and in heels – now its time for you to get the tips to take centre stage.

my first blog inspiration

in

To be honest; before I started to create and publish my first blog, I've never read blogs before. I got inspired by a blog of a fashion-community (www.insidefruits.de) where I had to create a blog to win an outfit at a value of 1000 Euro. Sadly, BUT I didn't win the lottery. On the other hand I won the second place at a fashion-contest before on www.stylefruits.de by creating a "rockstyle-outfit" ... and last but not least I AM addicted/interested to fashion just like all shopaholic-, fashionaddict-, fashionconscious-HUMAN BEINGS!!!
